Biertje?

Ah, i si teniu alguna suggerència, us llegeixo als comentaris ;)

Well, obviously i'm not going to translate all that i've written above... it's just a list with links of different beers i've tasted at some point in the Netherlands. So you don't need too much of a translation, go taste them! ;) My favourites? Brown belgian, usually. Hey Jan, any suggestions?? Same question to the rest, of course! Klára, suggestions about Czech beer are also welcome... ;)

  • ... There is not much I can say about Czech bier. Simply... Czech bier is the best.
    We have several kinds: light, dark, with low amount of alcohol (0.5%), normal amount of alcohol (3.5%), high (5.5%) etc. We don’t sell children-size bier (1.5-2.5 dcl), we have normal-size bier (0.5 l) or double size (1 l). Our bier is “drinkable”. Drinkable bier means the bier is tasty, but it also means that after drinking one you want to drink another. (Belgium bier: you drink first and then you do not care...). We drink normally bier with the normal amount of alcohol (lower than Belgium, Dutch) but we can drink more (2-6 l per night). We do not need to make thousands of taste like in Belgium; we don't have apple bier, pink bier or bier with taste of whatever. Czech bier is simply good. There is lot of nice things in our country and bier is one of them. And also we drink and eat and drink and eat. Here people go first for bier and then for dinner, so after a few hours you are half death.
    Let me say it this way: you west Europeans do not know anything about drinking bier. Especially this country (Netherlands) doesn’t know anything about drinking and eating.
    One more: European Union wants to increase taxes on bier... not wine but bier...

    For people who like Czech bier: Nazdravi!
    For those who prefer another alcohol: Cheers!
    (And for Dutch: enjoy your sandwich and milk!)
    Tjady daaa dy daady daaaaaaaaaaaaa.

    Y la foto, ya te dije que hace dias que la tenia entre ceja y ceja...

    @Klara
    Welcome!! Lolol, i know it was the perfect subject for you to start commenting... :p
    I also like Czech beer! I've already told you (a few times) that i (really) started drinking beer in Praag. And i hadn't done so if it was not nice beer ;)
    Anyway, to sit with friends while chatting or so (not when drinking one beer after another) i still prefer strong dark tasty belgian beers! ;)

    @Mire
    Welcom tu tambe!
    I pel que fa al Dutch, si que te una pronuncia peculiar, si. Entre marcar les vocals (a llarga, a curta,etc) i sons tipus "w" (que no es ni b ni v...) i "sch" que sonen a "estic refredada i m'aclareixo la gola... Jo estic segura que mai de la vida podre pronuciar "Scheveningen" com deu mana!! ;)
    I si, noia, tu i jo sempre d'acord, jeje!

  • Dear Anonymous,

    I have no clue what you mean by "Best drinkers". But Czech Republic has the greatest beer consumption (per head) for many years. It is probably not the best thing we could say about ourselves, but it is true.

  • @all

    A few suggestions from my belgian colleague: "Hoegaarden Grand Cru, Delirium Tremens (voted best beer in the world 2001), Keizer Karel, Bush (strongest Belgian beer 12%), Orval, West Vleteren (only obtainable at the monastery itself, voted the best beer in the world 2005), Leffe 9%, ..."
    And the fact that i forgot to mention the most general strong beer in Belgium, Duvel... :$ ;)

  • And what is the best way to transport these beers from one place to other in order to taste them all?

    I´m getting really thirsty...

  • @kike
